1782년 모차르트는 
잘츠부르크의 명문가인 하프너 가문을 위해 
작곡을 해달라는 의뢰를 받았다.

눈이 튀어나올큼 바쁘게 지내고 있던 때였다.
교습을 하고 곡을 쓰고
미친듯이 오페라를 준비하면서
집을 옮기고 결혼준비까지 하고 있었다.
하지만 그는 의뢰받은 일을 해냈다.

모차르트의 작품답게
투명하고 빛나는 표면 아래에
불안이라고는 찾아볼 수 없는 곡이었다.
정말로 기적같은 일이다.

In 1782, Mozart received
a commission to compose a piece for
the distinguished Haffner family of Salzburg.

It was a time
when he was overwhelmingly busy.

He was giving lessons,
composing music,
frantically preparing for an opera,
moving houses,
and even getting ready for marriage.

And yet, he completed the commissioned work.

 

True to Mozart’s style
the piece was clear and radiant on the surface

with no trace of anxiety to be found beneath.

It was truly a miraculous achievement.
