오페라와 클래식이 소외받고

예전에는 주세페 베르디와 같은

50만 명의 이탈리아인들이 거리에 늘어서
오페라<나부코> 에 나오는

from Verdi’s opera Rigoletto.
Set in 16th-century Mantua
this opera tells the story of a shameless duke
a court jester named Rigoletto
and his daughter Gilda.

 

In this Act III quartet
Verdi performs magic by weaving together
two contrasting conversations
into a single piece of music.

 

He draws out the maximum dramatic potential
from the four voices on stage
—soprano, contralto, tenor, and baritone.
